

The US is retreating from EVs, but I don’t think that’s the case for Europe and Canada. For them the problem is China is making EVs that are cheaper and possibly more advanced. Europe and Canada should encourage the best engineering students worldwide to study there hoping they will stay and keep Europe and Canada competitive in EVs. If China’s EVs simply are cheaper Europe should impose tariffs unless China buys European and Canadian products to prevent a huge deficit. China sending students and tourists would help in reducing any deficit.



Why not? It is a source of money.
