capitalism found it cheaper to outsource US gulags to poor countries

It is more of a way to sidestep the judicial process. The executive branch can act faster than the judicial branch in removing someone from the country before appeals. Once the person is in a foreign country, they are no longer in custody of someone under the control of American judges.

It isn’t a cost saving measure, it is a legal loophole.

Facists don’t really care. V2 rockets were more expensive and less effective tactically than panzer tanks, but the Naxis built the rockets…

No that was one of the few successes, v2 were ineffective weapons they were however incredibly effective acts of terror.

Terror is not an effective tactic to end a war. It only motivates the enemy more.

No one said it was to win the war itself it was too demoralize England and it worked in large part until Germany started getting carpet bombed and the dichotomy exampled the British isles relative safety.

As someone that is British I take exception to the idea the V2 rocket somehow demoralised us, even temporarily. It takes a lot more than that to break us. It was a scary weapon, sure. But it didn’t reality make the reality of the war that much worse than it already was.

You can take offense at history but it’s a fact constant air raids were a major demoralizing factor. That’s not a shameful thing, its a natural reaction and no amount of “stuff upper lip”-ing really changes that.

It was a scary weapon, sure.

What’s another word for scary? Terror. It’s a terror weapon not a practical weapon.

This is more of a case where capitalism decays into fascism.

Capitalism relies on a decent legal framework to function. It doesn’t have to be equal, but it has to be consistent. It is usually why a lot of nations defined by capitalism are generally not dictatorships; monied interests are given ways to influence policy.

Fascism concentrates power and frees that power from restraint in order to benefit a part of society. The ability for a person to imprison anyone without legal checks is an extraordinary power.
