I have been to a communist country. It is exactly what you would expect. Malnourished people, everyone is sad looking and everything is run down. I had many friends who, luckily, were able to escape from communism. Multiple families living in unheated homes, lack of food, everything was garbage. I asked one of them what made their parents defect. It was when her father came to America for an exchange program. He went into a grocery store. A grocery store is what made him defect.

That’s how I fixed some of my kids friends. They started to talk about communism as if was a good idea and not really something worse than Nazis.

So I had a zoom meeting with my friends who survived communism and the young kids.

That’s the best cure for communism. Talk to people who survived it.

      So lying, basically.

Editi : ok sorry, I obviously made assumption w/o information. You had the kids talk to someone who lived in a kibbutz?

I see. Was that really communism, following communist principles? Seems like they just called it that as an excuse to steal farms and change the ruling class to themselves.

Anyway I have also been fortunate enough to meet people from all around the world, including someone from North Korea and someone from Congo. They told me how bad democratic republics are.

Was that really communism, following communist principles? Yes. lol, yes it was. I get the whole it’s not real communism. Yet every country that goes down that path does the exact same thing.

Well good for them, they shouldn’t move here then.
