I don’t have direct experience with this label, brutal death metal is a little outside of my wheelhouse. I think it’s harder to pin down the politics of death metal bands, because the genre is largely “nonpolitical” (in that they don’t directly address politics). The shared genre themes tend to be so repugnant that I think bands that aren’t reactionary are probably the exception.
Idk, there’s only so many violently misogynistic lyrics about hurting vulnerable people before I stop believing that it’s “just entertainment”. I listen to slam tho, so that’s basically the same problem. Idk, just my two cents.
