Pretty crazy how quickly the owners rolled over for a 62% pay increase. Jesus Christ how much were they fucking over these workers before
The answer is always as much as they can possibly get away with, and sometimes more.
The increase is over 6 years. The real fight is over automation. Fully automated docks need no workers.
81k to 131k in 6 years! That’s actually an incredible deal. I always feel what I make now is inadequate for what I do… seeing this deal is making me feel even worse about what I currently make. It really is time for me to look for another job…
