Ah, but you must understand, how else would they (politicians, lobbyists, generals, etc.) perform graft and corruption to enrich themselves? This is the only way things could’ve happened!

I’m normally a huge pedant, so I’ll point out that using the median would change this number a lot. America is an incredibly unequal country. The average salary in the US was ~$70k, but the median is ~$43k.
Total federal obligations on $70k is $13k.
For $43k it’s $6.5k.
Meanwhile estimates suggest it’ll take about 80 billion to rebuild Gaza, nearly 10 times as much as was given to Israel to destroy it.
that’s the best thing about it, I know just the company to rebuild it for the Palestinians!
