Most people in the US are completely ignorant about politics, especially leftist politics. I would recommend watching Hasan Piker if you’re new to this, he does a fairly good job at intro to leftism regarding the news.

You could read theory but I find that makes people insufferable and that is not productive.

You need to be able to hold a reasonable conversation with normal people about politics without devolving into stupid arguments.

The “viable way” is going to come one way or another whether you like it or not. If you don’t have a local org, make one.
