Théophile Ferré was a leader of the Paris Commune who was executed by the French government on this day in 1871. Ferré personally authorized the execution of the archbishop of Paris and was the first of 25 Communards to be executed.
Little is known about Ferré’s early life, before his participation in the Paris Commune. After Paris was seized by revolutionaries in March 1871, Ferré served on the Commune’s Committee of Public Safety, a body given extensive powers to hunt down enemies of the Commune.
On April 5th, the Commune passed a decree that authorized the arrest of any person thought to be loyal to the French government in Versailles, to be held as hostages. Prominent figures arrested included a Catholic priest Georges Darboy and the archbishop of Paris. The Commune hoped to exchange their hostages for Louis-Auguste Blanqui, a revolutionary and honorary President of the Commune, imprisoned by the state.
Following the events of the “Bloody Week”, in which the French government summarily executed many suspected Communards, Ferré authorized the execution of several hostages, including Darboy and the archbishop.
After the resistance of the Commune collapsed, Ferré was captured by the army, tried by a military court, and sentenced to death. On November 28th, 1871, he was shot at Satory, an army camp southwest of Versailles. He was the first of twenty-five Communards to be executed for their role in the Paris Commune.

I had looked forward to november as the second month of the year I would get 3 semi-weekly paychecks instead of the usual 2. Well joke’s on me because I pulled in my smallest check since I started working at the box factory. Looking at two weeks of pay and it’s less than my monthly rent and it feels bad man.
Playing a show on the 7th for the first time in forever. It’d a friend’s solo noise project that I’ll be helping on some knobs n dials. It’s all harsh noise and stuff but a pretty sick lineup for that. I wanna make industrial Italian Disco, he’s doing this:

Arcane, for all its really really really good, telling this story of class, imperialism… it probably needed a longer period to cook and deserved a more complex family dynamic than parent-child.
I’ve found out that ‘it’s another day in a war that never ends’ and ‘I remember colors but all I see now is grey’ as well as ‘imagine getting on a bus and the driver is weeping’ are not the best replies to ‘how’s it going?’
Everyone should check out my Hostage Life list in the music thingy. Saw em in like 2005 and then picked up.the album and gotta say 20 ish years later, it’s the best and most working class pop punk album ever and holy shit if you hate your boss is it cathartic.

Anyone wanna start a dojo and then we can be rival dojos? I don’t know any martial arts and will for sure not teach my students well, and if you promise to do the same we could have awese street brawls and sometimes attack each other’s dojos. Started back up watching Scavenger’s Reign with my dad. He’s super into it actually and that rocks. Maybe this is how I can get him to watch an anime.

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, but its cheaper to by a new fridge than it is to repair one. Had it for 4 years. The one before it lasted about 14-15 years. Might be able to get a replacement though since we were supposed to last time, but were told there were none with the pandemic related shortages.
