Man, I don’t think any government could have pulled this off. Even the 90% they scaled it back to is insane. This was a bad idea from the start…even if you (incorrectly) assume that no one is greedy. Leaving it open-ended means tons of people are going to get 50k+ of unnecessary work done just because it’s basically free.
