meduza (together with mediazona) is super popular among liberal russians. they actually have some good takes on lgbt stuff, but yeah everything else is pretty much just regurgitated western takes.
That’s interesting. It’s a shame that their good aspects get bogged down by their pro-western angle, to me that would undermine what they’re trying to say. Of course the same can be said about the opposite media in Russia, those that have great geopolitical analysis but are bad on LGBT stuff. Then again, what resonates more with the population? I think one could strike a balance between being pro-lgbt and anti-west, you just have to use different examples and language. Anyway I am rambling lol
