Most people will be somewhat considerate with earbuds, but he always has his phone at Max volume always listening to either death metal, Fox News, Trump speeches, or UFC compilation videos, and he always reacts to everything by yelling, screaming, has to show everybody

Ya know I hope the US collapses in the next few months just so folks like this have an identity crisis. It’d be funny and helpful since they’d have to create a new hopefully less horrid identity.

Fair enough, my point was moreso on them abandoning the idea of them being innately better for being American. Also I suspect if the US does implode lots of these people will become isolated from each other meaning the god king shit with Trump would implode over time. I kinda doubt the infrastructure that allows them to yuck about on Facebook would continue to work.
If the internet goes completely out in the US, they’ll yuck about at their unhinged rightwing churches and then go around lynching immigrants and gay people. They’ll be more united than ever.
I believe it’s going to be super fascinating because I don’t believe collapse is actually possible anymore. All indices - the stock market, the price of gold, crypto, the dollar - all of it - is, imo, set-and-supported by algorithms and dark pools.
If true, this weirdly leaves the “illuminati” to do what they please, as these markets will no longer offer any actual consequences for… anything at all, really.
There’s a saying the fall of empires is slow until it’s not. The fact of the matter is the US isn’t all that different from those that fell before it, the British, Soviets, and French all seemed to be on top of the world right until they weren’t. All empires are on a timer from their birth, they all fall eventually and in the modern age it could come from anywhere.
My personal bet is that the source will be economic in nature, Trump’s tariffs will cause base level economic issues which will effect basically everyone. You’ll probably get a block of states who will declare independence possibly with international backing triggering a domino effect not to dissimilar from the Soviets.
I don’t think the stock market or really anything else is really notable, as you said it’s largely automated meaning it’s pretty much disconnected from reality at this point making it a piss poor indicator of ground level issues.
Basically balkanization, blue states will ally with each other and rest of the world while the red ones will ally with Putin, Saudis, qataris and israel
Oversimplified but broadly correct I suspect that a couple red states would end up joining up with blue states namely Idaho, Alaska, and maybe Ohio if things are bad enough.

I don’t believe the gullible deserve to be conned, it’s just usually their fate. But I’m damn sure that since I didn’t help you get conned and tried to prevent it from happening, I don’t fucking deserve to watch my country fall apart. But I would be mildly curious to hear what, in concrete terms, these jackasses think Bonespurs is actually “doing for this country.”
From what I get from his ramblings he wants other people to be hurt for his benefits, and by other people he means blacks, LGBTQ, immigrants, etc. and somehow harming them is somehow making his life better.
Some people weirdly seem to think of other people’s suffering as a kind of vengeance. I think that’s the mental gyration that benefits them - not suffering feels like their reward for not being bad like those other people, but to get that reward the other people have to suffer so there’s a contrast.
