        That as well, but the existence of it at all (and, for that matter of the NSA) was for a long time only discussed in consipiratorial tones.

        Also because they can suspend the Constitution. That was a thing.

        There was a whole period where the only people who thought FEMA was real were “conspiracy theorists”. Not the Qanut idiot drool brigade kind, the kind that read real books.

        Of course back then they were always on about “the government” “recording” all your “conversations”. Ha ha! So outlandish.

          Sometime after it was publicly created? Shortly after, when it was in the news for being called in for 3 mile island? Or did people somehow forget it existed after that, despite all the funding and public appointments and whatnot?
