In case you thought cars would become safer as technology developed… rest assured, Tesla is finding newer and ever-dumber ways to make their cars dangerous to occupants (and others).
TL;DR: If you’re in a Tesla and it loses power (like in a fire), the only way to open the doors is often an unlabeled wire behind either two panels or a speaker grill. Tesla owners are DIYing janky rip cords to make that wire easier to pull to escape.

What retard thought the best engineering decision was to make a power door? Shouldnt be allowed to make any decisions?

There’s nothing wrong with a power door if it also has an easily accessible physical handle as a backup.
The fact that the hard to find physical release on a tesla is likely to damage the doors is like a one two punch of shitty design.
Also retracting door handles that freeze in the closed position so you can’t get in in the winter.
