Dear God, I agree so much. I’m so tired of that era. I really think I would love to see the immediate aftermath of Voyager’s return along with the scientific advances and knowledge they gathered along the way. They were first contact for dozens of worlds. Picard showed us that the Romulan Empire collapsed (which is huge!) and there was a widespread implementation of androids (made no sense) and widespread use of holographic crew (made perfect sense).

I would have loved to see us get there in a relatively slow pace like DS9 did with the War against the dominion. Even that still deserves a little more exposure which would be in the same time period. I can imagine people still being paranoid about shapeshifters for years after.

They already did a ToS reboot in the form of the newer movies which - while entertaining - seemed a bit more action-oriented than classic Trek.

If they want to reboot a series, bring back Enterprise which. It was kinda left hanging and a lot of the reasons it didn’t do well were more due to timeslot (and competition from Stargate I’ve been told).

Les Moonves was teh one that killed the series in the end. nutrek in itself is not good even with the action orientated scense, seems very tasteless and copy pasted from JJ abrams movies.

I wouldn’t mind a voyager reboot even if only in a limited fasion. Give us the real “year of hell” please.

Oh what I wouldn’t give for a show set post-TNG/DS9/Voyager. It kills me that we got a taste of this in Picard S3 and STILL no Star Trek: Legacy.

Cannot believe that the only post-Voyager show we’ve gotten is a cartoon (albeit a great one, but still…)
