I would sleep through my pillow being shifted or taken, my phone buzzing next to my ear/face, or being poked/slightly shaken, but I would wake up to loud laughing, yelling, smells, and ringtones.
I slept through our house alarm going off
I slept through my neighbor shooting his wife. :(
That depends. Do you deep sleep all night? Or just through certain parts of the night? Like can someone wake you up reasonably after 20 mins? After ten hours?
I’m sure after 20 minutes but after hours of sleeping, no
If you would sleep though a lift threatening event your a deep sleeper.
It just sounds like you have trained yourself to ignore alarms, pillows, poking.
So a phone alarm would wake you but not a phone on vibrate? Sounds pretty normal to me. I’d wake up to a vibrating phone unless it’s 4am my deepest sleep time, but I’m a light sleeper.
Most people also follow a curvy path of lighter and deeper sleep cycles through the night.
There’s a lot of shit going on with sleep…
We have a neurotransmitter that’s basically a paralytic, too little makes you sleep walk, and it not turning off fast enough is sleep paralysis.
So for you, it would seem that maybe you have a lot or you’re more sensitive to it, so bodily movements aren’t being registered and waking you up. Noises aren’t involved with that and wake you up normally.
But like I said, lots of shit going on with sleep, it could be a hundred different things.
If it is that, it’s normal to vary with age. I slept walked as a little kid, got sleep paralysis as a teen, then just grew out of both. Just normal variation of multiple nonbinary systems.
