Imagine knowing a region is notorious for its violence and constant military attacks everywhere because of settlers, and deciding to settle your family over there or start one there. Not out of desperation or necessity, but because the government offers to pay all your expenses to fly over and steal someone’s house. It’s selfish on so many levels.

And no, it isn’t victim blaming because you can’t fly thousands of miles to hit someone while they’re sleeping and cry when they come back with a crew.
