Christ, you all are trying really, really hard to push voters back into the Republicans’ waiting arms.

The only thing Donald did not lie about was the immigration crackdowns. He lied about literally everything else, so yes, the vast majority of Republican voters last year did not support what’s happening now.

What they voted for was a lower cost of living, same with the people who elected Democrats this week. If Democrats want to win next year, you will hop on the economic populist train and stop this stupid finger wagging.

That’s hilarious. He made it very, very clear that he was lying constantly. The only way to ignore that was willful denial of reality. His promises were meaningless slop. And they should’ve known that. There is no excuse, he was already president once.

Very few people are actually swing voters. Most people are born into a party and vote for that party their whole life. The idea of deciding who to vote for based on the issues is as foreign a concept to them as deciding which religion they like the best and joining it.

Not when your grocery bills, rent, and everything else have tripled in just a few years. (But not your wages, of course.)

That creates a lot of swing voters, and it’s how Donald was able to build his coalition in 2024. Harris’ policy position on it was “I won’t change anything.”

People forget that turnout is a thing. To win an election you don’t have to convert the other party’s voters to your side, you just have to convince them to stay home when your voters are turning out to vote.

Harris did an excellent job of that too, with the whole ‘I wouldn’t change a thing’ messaging, because of course Genocide Joe’s ego is the most important consideration when fascism’s on the ballot.

You keep repeating this quote but you’re either misinformed or lying about the context. I’m not saying what she said had good optics, I am saying what she said isn’t what you’re claiming.

voting is rigged so no one technically gets the day they voted for except the ones owning the voting machines

If the machines are rigged in favor of one candidate, then the people who actually voted for that candidate still do get what they voted for. But the voting population as a whole doesn’t.

Nooo it’s not rigging it’s “gerrymandering” and we weren’t bribed to allow that it’s “lobbying.”
