Dear Posteo customers,

We have good news: Starting immediately, the price of €1 per month includes more storage space – we are increasing it from 2 GB to 4 GB.

The adjustment applies to all Posteo mailboxes: both for new and existing customers.

I relays all my mails from my custom domain to my posteo mailbox for the last 10 years. No issues there. (I do this via a minimal postfix on the VPS on that domain). The downside is, that I can only receive mail on that domain, but not send any.

Tuta is nice, but you have to use their app or website to read your mail.
Search is slow and often requires you to rebuild the search cache.
And last time I used Tuta, I couldn’t sort my email in other ways than time.
It’s very secure though and allows for E2E encryption with passwords.

Posteo allows you to use any IMAP client to access your mail.

It is literally no more secure than any other email. Almost all emails support E2E encryption with passphrase, and any email that can use IMAP can through clients too.

The problem is that 99.99% of emails (not counting deltachat) have no way of utilizing that, so it is just as insecure on Tuta as anything else, just better marketed.

They all get the job done. Posteo has no free plan and only one paid plan which is the cheapest of the three (1€/mo).

If you want to save money, Purelymail is 10 dollars a year, no strings attached, unlimited custom domains. It’s blissful.

Edit: I’m stupid, it’s based in the US

Yeah I’m stupid, sorry. I’ve started reading about email services and I thought we were taking about independent providers in general

I was surprised to see this be that little.

iCloud+ gives me 50 GB for 0,99 € per month, including my own email domain, cloud storage, calendar, unlimited alias addresses.
