Carney is a banker. His actions are banking actions, his statements are banking statements. All hail the bottom line.
Carney is a banker; he thinks like a banker, acts like a banker.
We both know canada hasn’t thought that far, his thought was “Iran is on the bad country list, its impossible for Canada to go to that list, they are too white”
though the us and other western countries are free to have as many nuclear weapons as they like. seems like what canada is actually against is iranians having self determination.
None of them do. It’s simply beyond the horizon of what they understand is politically possible. We understand it because we understand that rules and laws and institutions are just tools used by the ruling class that can simply be abandoned once they stop being useful, but to libs elections are the fountain that all politics comes from. That’s why they were so shocked by 1/6 even though dummies like me could see it coming from months away.
So their brilliant plan is to kill time until Trump’s term expires so things can go Back To Normal, to the neocon status quo. I don’t care what speeches Carney gives at whatever Epstein reunion party he’s currently at, he and Canada’s ruling class do not feel existentially threatened. They will when it’s too late but if they are now, I see no evidence.
I think that’s exactly it. These people are true believers in the liberal world order, and no amount of evidence will convince them that the good old days aren’t coming back.
They don’t really have a choice. Their entire wealth, status and how they navigate the world is based on it- its likely telling someone the sun isnt real.
