The senator involved is Senator Tim Sheehy (R-Montana), former Navy SEAL, accused of stolen valor for claiming he was discharged because of a bullet wound in Afghanistan, that he actually negligently discharged into himself in Glacier national park. Self-made businessman with the help of a gift of $600000 from his parents–the business lost $75 million in 2023. The next one sold for $350 million. Has a 20,000 acre cattle ranch. Wants to eliminate the department of education. Was in a plane crash that killed someone while learning to fly in 2019. Received $641,000 from AIPAC and related donors.

If Iran really is hiding its power levels, this is so much bigger than Vietnam. Russia and China are/going to be way more involved, I don’t see how this conflict subsides, seems like half the globe’s supply chain passes through Iran, Vietnam was irrelevant in comparison

I’ma huge China Stan. I love the place so much. I’ll be there later this year, and I feel so much freer there than here in the empire. But. I’m also aware of Chinas foreign policy. They’ll provide goodies, radar, maybe some weapons, but they’re not going to risk their consumer economy for Iran. Sometimes it feels like China is going to sit back abs watch one by one as every anti imperialist nation on earth is destroyed except for them, and then still watch until the empire attacks them directly.

Props to Brian McGinnis for landing on the right side of the issue, but it does kinda suck that the only way to be perceived as credibly anti-war in this country and not just a naive hippie is to first serve in the military.

I just watched it and jesus christ. I broke some bones before but NOTHING like that. I physically winced and stammered out “Oh, Oh GOD!” when I heard the crack. You can distinctly hear both the radius and ulna snapping at once and then the bone sticking out the way his shirt bulges. That kind of break can literally sever major blood vessels and kill you.

Edit I may be wrong and that is hand bones because I finished watching it and his arm seems alright after that but it sure looked and sounded like a limb snapping.

https://www.brianmcginnis4ussenatenc.org/ this guy seems alright, Greens have been getting better and better lately

I have lived long enough to know that truth is simple. I have seen effective leadership in different parts of the world where public servants have actually served the public with healthcare, education and a hopeful future. Yet, here I have seen the complexity of lies that politicians use for why they cannot deliver for people, while always delivering for the donors who live at the people’s expense. I am a Green because I know capitalist parties will never actually serve working class people. The Democrats and Republicans may market to working class people but when push comes to shove they will both fail working class people time and time again. Because of all of these things I chose to do something by becoming a Green and running for US Senate.

Definitely worth your vote in NC since there’s no PSL candidate there for Senate

He was seemingly there with Code Pink which is a good sign. Him being a veteran is a red flag, in my opinion. On his website, it show him wearing a pin with an Irish flag and Palestine flag, that’s a good sign. The fact that he maintained composure and kept saying no going to war for Israel, while they broke his arm, shows commitment I think.

McGinnis is running against (D) Roy Cooper and ® Michael Whatley. Roy Cooper is backed by the Israel lobby, he was endorsed by Democratic Majority For Israel lobby group in November 2025. Roy Cooper was also previously the governor of NC, so he has the advantage of name recognition.

It would be nice for a non-Israel backed candidate to win the race, but I feel like the entire Democrat establishment is going to back Cooper for Israel.
