Netanyahu’s right, i.m.h.o., to state that you can’t turn the other cheek on a governmental level(, and wrong to go further than “an eye for an eye” i.m.o.), that’s why islam arrived and Muhammad ﷺ had no other choice but to take up arms or die like previous prophets before him.
It’s also something that christians are well aware of, and have discussed at length(, not that kings or even a few popes always entirely followed the conclusions of these humble priests/monks/christians), i.m.o. there’s a really easy fusion of christianity on a personal level and islam on a national level, that has yet to exist since most muslims don’t seem to have retained christian teachings(, a.f.a.i.k. from the few books i read, i don’t live there).

That said, you’ll be treated as you treat others(, and should treat them as you’d want to be treated), if you allow yourself to lie then don’t complain if others lie, if you don’t care about civilians or prisoners then your enemies won’t as well, if you don’t care about negotiating then don’t expect others to do you this favor, etc.
Christian teachings are clearly valid, billions of people recognized that paradise will come upon Earth if we follow them.

(My favorite solution for Israel here is still to divide the Holy Lands in three while offering an acceptable western territory to muslims and jews in exchange)
