I really dislike all the festivals. It steals my time and everyone else just wants to talk about crap.
My friend was blown away when i showed her a 1 year deep save and i only had 1 friendship above 4 stars. I kept prioritizing production and farming progress when i first started playing. I didn’t know there were rewards for friendship beyond story/lore.
My last game I decided to focus on friendship and get 10 hearts with everyone. That meant short farming days and not optimising anything. My husband was shocked that at the end of year 1 I still had so little money and my farm was just a few 3x3 squares. Barely any animals too.
