How anyone sees value in working with Russia is a mystery. Russia exists to poison the future of humanity.
Especially for a Polish person. It is as if they are completely oblivious to literally any part of Polish history.
Good luck trying to understand the Polish electorate. They are as bad as the US electorate.
And these Polish patriots would rather have a border with Russia?
Uh, they already do, with Kaliningrad. But yeah, it would increase the border they share with Russia by a LOT.
This would make a strip of like 1/4 of their border hostile, because there’s already belarus, which is russias little bitch. Would be hard to defend.
I would suggest that for russia gaining sympathy in Poland is existentially necessary to make serious inroads in building out russia’s power in the region.
The reason? Poland has a fuckload of tanks, they have a signicant number of all of the best tanks and heavy armor in the world pretty much… and their army is well trained on them.
Poland has also purchased almost 100 Apache helicopters which themselves could singlehandedly throw a MASSIVE wrench in any plans for future wars russia might have in the region if Poland isn’t sympathetic enough to maintain relative neutrality towards russia.
In short, I am not surprised the far right in Poland flirts with russia, russia must be flirting hard with the far right in Poland, they have to, if Poland decides to decisively join an opposing side against them in war, russia is fucked.
