In all my years hating Oracle I never once thought to do this. hats off to Iran.
Why didn’t you think of launching a ballistic missile? Are you stupid?
I lacked imagination! I’m disappointed in myself too!
I still can’t think of it, I don’t have the material basis to contemplate ballistic strikes. All I can do is agitate my fellow proletariat with the good word of Revolution and its Prophets.
Had nothing to do with the war. Just a disgruntled db admin
didn’t oracle just summarily lay off like 10K people by email, 0 day notice? like literally yesterday?
if the last place that laid me off in a mass reduction got shelled the next day, i would be completely down for whatever the cause was.
30K people.
Or at least that was the number I saw reported a couple days back. I don’t know if that number is accurate.
i would be completely down for whatever the cause was.
Yeah but then again people who work for oracle probably don’t have the political clarity to diagnose their problems in any rational way
i used to be a complete idiot politically and worked in the union-hostile IT space, but there was still something deeply radicalizing about a shitload of us all (or even just a large group of us) losing our jobs simultaneously.
The movie we shall make of this heroic act of management, saving those people by firing them, shall echo through the ages!
The board of directors and the CEO, the avengers of the business world, shall take on the anger and hatred of the world to save all those innocent people by preemptively releasing them before the strike!
(And honestly no one’s going to google who got fired where)
They shall be reviled, but they will gladly take on that anti-hero mantle! They are not the heroes employees want, but they’re the heroes they need!
As someone that has to use software that uses Oracle SQL
Please hit more Oracle sites

the oracle is smoking, the true promise has been kept
I’ve never been so excited about an explosion before
Palantir next please
All enemies of open source will be brought low!
Mister Ellison I strongly recommend you pay a personal visit to the adjacent sites to insure their continued operational capacity. Also a good opportunity for a press conference. Let us know the schedule.
thought the statement from the irgc was pretty level headed
In the name of Allah, the Breaker of the tyrants “So whoever has assaulted you, then assault him in the same way that he has assaulted you”* (Quran 2:194)
🟡As we had warned, in response to the assassination of Iranian figures, we target espionage companies in the fields of information technology and artificial intelligence—pillars of the enemy’s terrorist operations. Following the destruction of the cloud computing infrastructure of the American company Amazon in retaliation for the assassination of General Fathalizadeh, today the data center and computing infrastructure of the American company Oracle, based in the UAE, was struck in response to the assassination of Dr. Kharrazi and his wife.
🟡Should the crimes be repeated and another assassination occur, the next company should be ready to receive a decisive response.
don’t you think assassinating a general is worth taking out at least a dozen of these, Mr. IRGC?
The most based thing in quite a while.
Exadata? More like ex-data
Gobless the troops

Taking bets, which is the next company?
