Well, Charlie Kirk did say that school shootings were necessary byproduct of the 2nd Amendment.

He died as he would have wanted to, proving that he was willing to be shot at a school

New proposed amendment: Slavery is legal again, but you can only be enslaved if you’re proven to have advocated for slavery or publicized slavery apologia.

I would like a caveat. School assignments do not count because oh your god some of the dipshit assignments we had to do about slavery. One of them, we had to write up pros and cons of slavery like we were prepping for debate team. I cannot remember what my group came up with but it was very intentionally obvious that it was bullshit. Something like “eventually their descendants would get access to Nintendos so I guess that’s kind of a pro”.

I would please not like to be enslaved in your hypothetical scenario because Mrs G had us doing assignments that made us think racistly, hopefully with the goal of knocking any half formed racisms out of our heads as we tried thinking and sympathizing. That attributes the best of motivations to Mrs G tho, and I like to think the best of people. I don’t have to drink as much that way.

I like the idea of having capital punishment. But it can only be sentenced by a unanimous jury. And each of the 12 jurors will be hanged along with the person they’re condemning. This will be done with the full knowledge of the jurors. They will know that if they vote for death, they themselves will die.

Is there some Hitlerian figure whose continued existence is such a risk, is so damaging, is so detrimental to the world that it warrants the state committing murder? Fine. Find 12 people willing to give up their own lives for the cause.

… wouldn’t that just incentivize anyone who believed that a specific figure deserved to die to just… kill the person themselves?

In what way? You still have to get 12 randomly selected people to agree to kill a person. And the option would still be available for life without parole. So it’s not like the bad guy is going to be out walking free. And you can’t just sign yourself up for a jury.

          No, I mean extrajudicially.

They mean “do an extrajudicial murder instead of handing down a death sentence to someone in court.”

If, in executing some villain, you are going to die on the jury anyway, just murder whoever you think should die and bet that 12 other people won’t think you’re worth a 13-way murder suicide.

Random people can’t get on the jury, and jurors won’t have access to the person on trial. You can’t “just murder” the person on trial.

Unless your idea involves keeping all prisoners (or all jurors) in permanent total solitary confinement, there are always ways. Anyone who believes that the person should die strongly enough to offer to kill themselves will very likely also believe it strongly enough to offer to risk imprisonment in the process of killing them.
