Didn’t realise they have these in Australia too. Anyway, although I do understand the humour, I’m not sure making fun of indigenous words because they’re similar to words in English is that cool.
Edit: turns out they’re a totally unrelated species to the Aotearoa/NZ one, weird that they use the Māori name for them.

Somebody will inevitably point out that none of these words are in the bible, but the fact that pipi, cockle and goolwa aren’t in the bible is at the very core of what’s wrong with christianity.
