Should have gotten more than $2500.
At least they are supposed to break even with it, and I think it was the principal that counted.
Time is money. These people probably had to take time off from work to pursue this, among other pain in the ass hurdles/obstacles. BofA should have been penalized for malicious prosecution.
If corporations are now legally defined as people, I need to start seeing some assholes imprisoned.
If I, a people, tried stealing somebody elses house, I would be jailed.
But when these corporations try shit, it’s all “oh, we can’t do anything!”
I can imagine they are losing some money in the end, but they got what they could and didn’t let the bank push them around. I really hope it helps set a better precedent in the future.

That couple, their lawyer, and the deputies are heroes.
It’s wild that they paid cash for the home and the bank tried to foreclose. I assumed they had mortgaged the house but it seems like that’s not the case at all.
