I usually don’t trust LLMs for shit but recently I used Deepseek with search + think mode for translating specific slang terms and researching a poorly a documented API and I was impressed by how it scanned through many actual web pages that were impossible to reach via search engines
Honestly it helps a lot that deepseek is open source ngl.
And yet people in the west continue to use ChatGPT. It boggles my mind

Do they need to extract money from their consumers for their operation? Many American IT companies can extract the data from their consumers and sell it to a third-party for profit. They can continue to make profit from some of their services without paid subscription as long as they can get their consumers to agree that their usage data will be collected by the service providers.
