thoughts that came upon me while reading this post:

    • Woman are not responsible for toxic masculinity.
    • Most women don’t profit from toxic masculinity.
    • a lot of men (not_all_mentm) keep their emotional baggage to themselves until they are in a relationship. Then the partner becomes the involuntary amateur therapist.
    • This is not and shouldn’t be the woman’s job
    • if men are not „allowed“ to cry (eg. being ridiculed for it) they should actively do something about it.

We live in a world where man still have it better, even if the patriarchy hurts them too. So it’s not the women’s job to solve this problem. But through the decades, they are still trying harder then men to do something about it.

So maybe it’s ok to take this sarcasm as a cry of frustration with men that are afraid to take on the consequences of showing their emotions, while being to comfortable in the system that hurts them, to actually do something about it.

Men are told over, and over, and over to listen to the women in their life. And not only that, they have to listen to her in the way she wants to be listened-to. I.e., complete silence, then complete agreement with whatever she says.

You’re saying men can’t expect the same from women. Even as women say (claim) they want “emotionally available” men.

      Which is it?

If you’re actually trying to spread a positive message about breaking gender roles, then ditch the misandry. Otherwise you’ll only be helping the other side/ instigating hatred.

Yeah, while asking us to step out of a gender role and cry is good, you just show you aren’t here for a serious discussion by the second part.

    Do better.
