The word malɛ appears to be Nuer for “hello”. I can only assume that that’s what this song’s title means even though it isn’t written with a Latin epsilon (and in fact there’s a transcription into fidäl in the video title). Most Nuer people live in South Sudan but there is also a large Nuer population in the Gambela Region of Ethiopia.
