Yep. Whenever you click translate on Israeli posts expect to read something indistinguishable from a passage out of Mein Kampf.
This is damage control but the cat is already long since out of the bag.
I keep hearing this quote butchered in different ways and I wish I could find the original. “every translated Hebrew tweet is like a secret page of Mein Kampf”
The problem isn’t the fascism, hate speech, and genocide apologia, it is that people know about it.

Well, that’s ignorant and useless. Anybody can simply copypasta the text into a translator.
Anyone can but not everyone will. It is an extra step, extra effort that many people will not go to.
Convenience should not be underestimated. Imagine you are just casually scrolling by a post in your feed. If there is an instant translate button directly on the post then you may click it out of curiosity since it is so easy, you don’t even have to think and it barely costs you a fraction of a second. But if you have to actually select the text, copy it, open up another website or app and paste it in, many people will just decide it’s not worth it and scroll by instead.
Measures like this will have an effect, even if small.
imagine if they disabled italian or spanish translations in those days…
How about Japanese and Croatian translations?
Copy paste to translate still works.
I wonder if this works both ways, can non-Hebrew stuff not be translated into Hebrew now on Twitter?
