He further claimed that Russian military units are advancing every day.

My suspicion is that Ukraine can afford to slowly yield farmland for longer than Russia can afford to give up energy infrastructure, at present rates.

Yeah historically the person winning is always asking for peace talks. Duh. Clearly Russia is winning so hard that they feel bad.

Hahaha. Lol. They’re losing ground, their oil infrastructure keeps exploding, and they want to go back to the prior terms?

I think the only thing Putler can get away with is Crimea, but that would require him to accept all the other terms set by Ukraine.

Can someone just kill Putin already?! I can’t think of many who deserve a bullet to the head more than this psychopath.

There’s only one way that this should end, and it’s not on Putin’s terms.

Let’s see what Putin says when Ukraine takes back Crimea.

This is what Europe should propose to Putin. Russia will withdraw from all land it seized from Ukraine after the 2022 invasion. NATO would be dissolved and replaced with a European alliance. Ukraine and Canada would be permitted to join but not the US. All sanctions against Russia will be lifted. Russia will not be required to pay reparations. If Putin doesn’t accept the proposal, the UK and France would send troops to Ukraine.

Nope, they should get out of Crimea too. And it’s up to the Europeans what happens to NATO. Dissolving it is one of Putin’s objectives, and he or his successors should be denied.

Sanctions against war crimials should stay, and reparations should definitely be on the table. Say a $300 bn investment fund? There’s recent precedent for that when an insane dictator attacks a medium-sized country and fails.

Putin would never accept those terms. The goal is to end the war and stop the bloodshed. Each side is not going to get everything they want.

Something has to be given to Putin to entice him to end the war. My proposal would do it with Ukraine losing very little territory.

Too many countries and Putin would say that he is being overwhelmed and must go nuclear.

Putin has nothing to demand of NATO. It was specifically created to counter the expansionism of countries like Russia.

It will never get dissolved as long as those kinds of countries still exist.

Dissolving NATO would entice Putin to accept my proposal to end the war in Ukraine. A European alliance which would include Ukraine should be capable of deterring Russian aggression.
