Republican Rep. Marlin Stutzman made the eyebrow-raising statement on NewsNation after being bluntly asked if he believes McConnell, 84, is dead.

“You know, just the things that I’ve heard and seen from some friends is that he’s obviously not doing well, but don’t know if he’s alive or has passed away,” Stutzman said.

Stutzman, who represents northeast Indiana, slammed the secrecy surrounding McConnell’s three-week hospitalization. He demanded answers from the McConnell team, which is led by his longtime, camera-shy aide, Terry Carmack, who is set to earn more than $226,000 this year.

The old fuck is dead! Everyone knows it! The Cons just don’t want anyone to check before August so that there won’t be a Special Election.

Could the governor just call for the snap election to replace him and stop the GOP from obviously attempting to fuck over the midterms? If they say “you’re not allowed to do that, he’s still alive and fit for service”, call their bluff and say that McConnell can walk into the governor’s office and say it himself

If he’s dead, and I hope with all my heart that he is, if his staff are still getting paid, is that not fraud?

    He’s DEFINITELY dead.

There’s no way they don’t try their very best to keep it secret until the deadline, pretend that ot just happened, and then stop even pretending after the election.

Not recovering, almost certainly, dead is another matter. Modern medicine can do an insane job of keeping someone “alive” long past the point their body has given out. Particularly when money isn’t a factor.

My guess is that he’s either brain-dead, but kept “alive” by machines, or wishes he was brain-dead, while being kept in pain by machines.

I was blown away when I learned he was mason verger. Granted I’d seen the movie a long time before I knew who gary oldman was but that character has stuck around with me through the years

I read the book first and really liked it. But I was also a lot younger, so I don’t know if it’s all that good of a book or movie

Yeah when they say they talked to him that’s not exactly a lie because it’s like talking to your plant. No one can prove you didn’t

Just keep saying he’s dead, because likely he is in some capacity. If you’re in KY, call your governor and pressure him to put an ultimatum out that they present he is alive and conscious to do his duties or he is considered incapable of such and hold an election to immediately replace him.
