So not sure if this works for this comm or not, but I found it interesting. It’s an older article tho.

Basically reviews research on the possible health benefits of the ketogenic diet. They found found evidence that keto helps with weight loss, appetite control, abdominal fat, blood sugar, triglycerides, and insulin needs in people with diabetes. Pretty much what you all have already been saying.

It also talks about possible effects on gut bacteria, inflammation, gene activity, cardiovascular health, and cancer treatment.

Some of those areas are still experimental, especially cancer, where keto is being studied as a possible addition to standard treatment.

I’m still new to it all, but this is interesting stuff.

    Its a reasonable starting point!

The evidence also suggests that eating a high-fat diet improves lipid profiles by lowering low-density lipoprotein (LDL),

they clearly havent heard of LMHRs!

it’s a pretty good review paper, not to biased, i haven’t seen it before - thank you for sharing it. i’ll read it in detail later.

ah yes, of course they have to address our good friend Hall… that guy has really confused things.

It is interesting that while current scientists are unwilling to consider these dietary recommendations due to the lack of long-term evidence, the entire United States adopted the current dietary guidelines based mainly on an epidemiological study done by Ancel Keys

    hahah fucking shots fired.
