Im super interested in ghosts so I would rather stay somewhere where it’s haunted. :) I wouldn’t be able to sleep and would probably be scared all the time though.

Na. Not because I care about hauntings or not, but because if the beat thing you can think to sell your hotel on is that it’s not interesting, it sounds like a shit-tier hotel whether it’s actually haunted or not

My partner and I still make fun of the motel we passed that proudly announced it had… wifi

You don’t like stopping at a motel with COLOR TV?

Since I live in reality, where there’s no such thing as ghosts or hauntings, it wouldn’t have any effect on my decision.

If you can prove it with a proponderence of existence in a court of civil law, sure.

I dunno, if the best they can come up with to promote their hotel is “there aren’t any ghosts!” when… ya know, ghosts aren’t real, that makes me kinda suspicious. It’s like when you see a “GMO free” label on salt, or something. If that is the best selling point they can come up with, it makes me question why they don’t have any other, more substantial or more relevant points to talk up their product.

A sign like that would give a lot of confidence. I already bought three of these creepy victorian dolls whose eyes seem to follow you around the room because the seller assured me they’re not cursed in any way.

You should bring the dolls to the hotel! Nothing bad could ever happen if you did that.

There could have been several murders, yet it still wouldn’t be haunted…
So that might be the thing to check out before checking in.

No. I would rather stay at a hotel advertised as “heavily haunted”. I would love to stay at such a hotel. I would pay whatever price for staying a full night.

I would pay extra for personalized haunting, and even more for the haunting spirit to target me and throw the pillows, the mattress, the table, the whole wardrobe, the lamp, the bathroom’s sink and/or even the whole wooden door at me.

I would pay for me to be flung through the door frame and across the suddenly-empty hotel corridor, only for me to become stuck in an endless hallway trying to flee from the haunting spirit, doing an end-turn and getting to the exact same hallway leading to the only room whose door is roughly carved with my name followed by “you’re eternally stuck at 3 AM, you know who I am, now you’re fated to come to me”, a black rose with sharp thorns hanging at the ice-cold electrified knob, some petals of Cestrum nocturnum scattered across the room, a large Latrodectus hanging from a thick spiderweb next to the bed covered with heart-shaped petals, two Dendroaspis polylepis guarding both ends of the corridor, and the only open window featuring a gigantic Blood Moon before a thick fog and a 2-meter-wingspan red-eyed Bubo bubo perched on the window frame and looking through my eyes right at my deepest fragment left of a soul.

I doubt Trivago or AirBnB have such a kind of hotel, though.
