    It’s so funny, and by funny I meant blatantly racist, the way Mamdani and El-Sayed only ever talk about affordability and not wasting money on violence but every caricature is Death to America. I looked high and low for that 2 panel meme that’s all “together, we can make the city safe for our children” and hitlerlover88 is tweeting all fuuuuuck noooooo!!!

My hope is to use my specific expertise in the Senate to make sure that I’m undoing a lot of the worst things that the Trump administration has done when it comes to targeting LGBTQ+ health.”

    And I’m just seeing that AOC is no longer with her fiance, that’s what this whole thing is about. It’s just so weird because El-Sayed has been married for 20 years.

    Woke: White, dorky, colourful. An easy introduction to the series. Crowd-pleaser.

    Woke II: Spicier, more action-filled. Introduces new protagonists like the islamo-communists. Loses many of the fans of the first one, but they were fake fans anyway. The dark gritty one of the series, and eventually a cult favourite.

    Wok3: The series goes off the rails. The protagonists fight a civil war where everyone either drives a tank or has an anti-tank rifle with “fuck tanks though” scribbled on it. There are cameos from every kind of celebrity you would never expect. There is a 40-minute long scene in which bedtimes and work schedules are debated. In the end, the bad guys win (or do they?)

    IVoke: Released 20 years after Wok3 with a different director and new writers, and is instantly the most controversial one. Writers figured there wasn’t a lot of plot threads that could be saved from the last installment, so they tried something completely different. Post-apocalyptic setting with talking dolphins and octopuses and aliens, because why not. There is a romance subplot between a dolphin and an alien that is never resolved.

    Woke: Day Zero: “Soft reboot” released just one year after IVoke that retcons the last one as well as making all the protagonists white humans again. Soundtrack by Limp Bizkit

      Woke 2 was briefly “woke 1 but not cringe” but it quickly became “woke 1 but without the things I personally consider too far left”

      Woke 2 is abandoning at least 95% of all the issues right wing (including libs, of course) identified as “woke” only to have the same critics still call the remaining <5% “woke”

        This is really throwing me for a loop. So defund the police and folx is Woke 1, and Woke 2 is keep police funding 95% the same and folks? And the right wing thinks the latter is tantamount to communism?

        I mean yeah that tracks, but… what the hell does Woke 2 mean to the average American barista?

      It’s a combination of the right’s response to anti-zionism and the support for palestine being “the people you’re trying to save would kill you for being gay” and the support for Mamdani, and specifically in this slop El-Sayed.
