Probably not disposable. More likely a reusable point and shoot. Disposables weren’t that popular, the culture for tech wasn’t quite as throwaway as it is today.

They even had waterproof ones, sealed in a clear plastic box. I always used to grab one before we’d go snorkeling.

Seriously. We’d use the family point n shoot for “important” things like family pictures, or vacations. Everything else was a Kodak disposable.
