    This is the recycle bin, not trash.

    Apple apparently has the rights to call something “trash” and didn’t like that windows was doing the same.

      As a British Mac user who upgraded to a new machine that could run a much newer macOS, I was surprised last year to discover that over here it’s now called the Bin.

      Over 70% of all recycling becomes standard trash but with a bigger carbon footprint. I also call recycling bins trash cans.

      Anything talking about the evolution of the “Trash Can Icon” should be starting with the Apple version that Microsoft copied.
