Back in the day he came out first as Bi and was married to a woman for a bit. Then he later came all the way out. 🚪💨🏳️‍🌈 Lots of celebrities did that in the 70’s and 80’s. Still some doing that today imho, but of course some people really are Bi. There was much more of a mystique about one’s sexuality.

Even today, I sometimes get asked if I’m really bi or not. Date and (and sometimes had sex) with half a dozen women. Look at feminine porn/yiff almost exclusively, but date a single guy and suddenly “hmmmm” lol. I get that it’s harder for older generations. But is it really that hard to believe that people can really date anyone and that what’s in their pants doesn’t matter? x3

I know it sounds crazy today, but artists like Elton John and Liberace were considered “light in the loafers” back in the day. Calling them “gay” would have been an insult to their character, so people found ways to dodge that. Not like anyone didn’t know, you just didn’t say “gay” in polite company.

tl;dr: If you think gay rights suck now, you should have been around in the 80’s.

I just looked about another list about “Celebraties you did not know where LGBTQ+” and it starts off with Miley Cyrus and Elliot Page. Truly shocking realization. Lady Gaga, Neil Patrick Harris, even Lil Nas X? No way! I’m scared George Takei might be on this list too 😆

Nearly spit out my drink. Next they’ll say that cast of Queer Eye aren’t straight either.
