I loved the phrase “JPEG of thought” in that article 😅 Thanks for the interesting link.

UK Politics@feddit.uk•The hard right has high hopes in Gorton and Denton – but a grassroots fightback is under wayEnglish
3·3 days agoI just checked their style guide (it’s an Autistic fascination of mine 😅)… funnily enough, they specifically recommend using “far-right” over “alt-right”. But they don’t have an entry for “far-right”, and I couldn’t find any mention of “hard right”.
“alt-right”
use once and in quotes at first mention; use far right at any subsequent mentions. Note: far right (noun) and far-right (adjective). More specific descriptions can be used where relevant when mentioning individuals associated with the movement, but such descriptions should be evidence-based.
Maybe we should assign these fuckers playing cards like Bush did 👀

Don’t forget to force them to do sports, martial arts, Scouting, etc., against their will. Being around their most athletic peers will fix the gay thoughts for sure.

I think it’s less true now than it once was, but I remembering hearing somewhere that pre-recorded messages on trains/subways/in stations tend to use feminine voices for information, and masculine voices for instructions.
There are definitely still times on the London Underground where you’ll hear announcements that switch in the middle, and that does usually seem to be the pattern.
(I realise this doesn’t really apply to GPSes, but your comment is what reminded me, so. 😅)
