In my personal experience I find women are more willing to do this than straight men. Just putting that out there, and I wonder if anyone else feels the same

Well if you do this as a straight white male you lose every straight white male in your life so yeah it can seem daunting lol.

Yeah, especially with white guys over specific age threshold.

I am not even surprised anymore when I find out yet another middle aged or elderly white cis hetero male I know IRL voted for Trump.

I do feel second hand embarrassment though listening to their neoconservative mental gymnastics, how despite Oval Office ambush on Zelensky and red carpet for Putin, Trump is actually secretly plotting to flood Ukraine with weapons, embargo Russian oil and overthrow Putin: “very soon, right now, definitively, this time for real, no, I know what kind of person Trump is, he wouldn’t betray Ukraine, he can’t, its some misunderstanding”

        Neocon copium is crazy.

Oh and half of them are immigrants from Europe with US citizenship, who think ICE surely wouldn’t eat THEIR face. Which makes it even more pathetic.

Is that supposed to be a problem?

I’d rather make diverse friends than make a friend with somebody that openly supports Trump and his ilk.

Is it weird that I, a cis & straight presenting, white man, make friends with people outside my demographics? I mean, I do make friends within my demographics, but they are absolutely not Trump supporters.

The diverse crowd are usually pretty wary and reserved these days when it comes to interacting with white men. Can’t blame them, but its not as easy to make friends as say “hi”, because you have to prove first you are not one of “those” white men.

And I am more radical than most, I am pro positive discrimination (like 55% of government should be women, even if people want to elect men), subsidized gender affirmative care, open borders with no checks, drugs decriminalization etc whatever.

But I do also hate virtue signaling and being performative male who can’t shut up how he hates patriarchy to get laid. And fortunately or not, no one ever knows if I privately donated money to RAINN.

Paradoxically even this comment by me is virtue signalling, oh well.

So, we are basically in a stalemate where I am asked to perform and I don’t like doing that, thus we are both at arms length, although technically I would considered myself an ally.
