I’m a pro artist and AI is helping me quite a bit. People bring slop to me same i make the real thing. This is so much more helpful than people bringing crudely drawn images or trying to describe with words.
It’s not going to hurt artists unless your art is fairly low value (oh boy can’t wait for the complaining about my experience).
Low value art is mostly digital art. Sorry to say. Learn to paint and you’ll be fine.
I think you’re use case is… kinda short sighted. When all your output looks like ai slop - especially the composition it reveals itself; but hey, you painted it on a canvas…
Give it a few years, and a hateful AI bro will find a way to fake painting. And then you can be even sorry for yourself.
AI bros see our kind as “useless eaters”, because they’re convinced, that because their uncle can play cowboy chords on a guitar without tens of hours of practice on the instrument every week, every artist should be an artist on the side of a 72-80 (!) hour long and soulcrushing work week. Also AI turns art into what tech bros see as “building” (having the idea a more important thing than the execution).
