Had heard about it for years and decided to start it up last month to kill time til’ the Thousand Year Door remake, and boy am I glad I did. The world, characters and lore are so charming, well-written and designed, the soundtrack is awesome. You can tell it’s a real labor of love.
A true spiritual successor to the first 2 Paper Marios, but is still unique enough to stand on it’s own.
If you love the aforementioned games, or turn-based story rpgs in general, and want to support the indie developer: it is an absolute STEAL at $25. You definitely get a full game’s worth of content.
Does it have nervous bug women? Might have to ring hexbear user FourteenEyes…
There is, in fact, a nervous socially anxious moth
OH GOSH
Also these
Right one is me
Left one is me
I already own it and was kinda disappointed by the combat feeling like a game of attrition rather than strategy but I might have to give it another look
Kinda sucks, big rip :/
It was adorable and i loved the character designs so I might just have to grit my teeth through the “super mario rpg but shallower” combat but I was getting bored in the first dungeon and just let it fall by the wayside
It’s lame that the game was boring, but I will say I love that you played this already, thought of u instantly when I saw it.
It warms my heart to hear you thought of me. I’ve never felt like I really belong anywhere, even online communities, but I’m starting to think I do in fact belong here
It has bugs, I’m there
No eat the bugs
Bug is friend
Eyy, this game was really good! I hardly remember it besides remembering that I liked it tho.
Yeah, remember I had fun but I can’t tell you literally anything about the story
I’ve been liking Born of Bread if you’re looking for more TTYD style games. It sold disappointingly poorly based on some bugs, but those are fixed now. The music and gameplay are fantastic.
I’ve heard of it and know it’s on sale rn, might give it a look!
There was a demo at one point, may still be available on steam.
