California is supposedly the most progressive state in the union:

    • Yet it is intentionally working as slowly as possible on that hsr hoping someone will cancel it

    • refuses to do something as simple as letting new houses be built. Like at the very least expand Sacramento and Irvine

    • Gave up on universal healthcare

And now it’s buying luxury vehicles for cops from a card-carrying neo-nazi?

Does anyone know what is the least bad state in the great satan? Or is it actually California?

    • there is no chance California is the least bad. it benefits greatly from Hollywood propaganda painting it as some kind of progressive bastion, luring uncountable numbers of people from all over the US to “get discovered” aka exploited and enslaved to an extremely powerful capital formation and it’s ghoulish administrators. the housing crisis there is among the worst in the nation!

it has completely severed its connection to ecological reality, re: water, and has desertified the central valley.

California is just another dogfuck charnal house like Texas or FL, except it has elite level, white shoe firm PR services on permanent retainer.

It also wasted a staggering amount of money and mucked about since the 90s making committees to oversee the committees that were planning the committees that would somehow build high speed rail. But ultimately the final nudge to make all of that irrelevant was my-hero 's deliberate and later-admitted H Y P E R L O O P sabotage.

CA also spends more of its budget ostensibly on “education” than most states in the US but most of that money goes straight to techbro grifts, like bullshit bazinga computerized whiteboards that break down so often that they were rarely actually used.
