I say suspected because it’s an American based VC that employs 2 Russians with possible Russian government ties. I would want stronger evidence of that link, but as i said, heavily suspected.
This has national security concerns. He shouldn’t be near anything requiring a security clearance, which likely means he shouldn’t be CEO of SpaceX.
Also shouldn’t be in charge of a popular social media site. Even ignoring that he can probably read private messages as easily as the public ones, the moderation power alone is too much for IMO any private entity to have.
And yeah, I would also apply that to legacy media and other popular media sites.

I may be wrong, but I get the impression that the US legal system does not allow for real (not a $3.50 fine) prosecution of oligarchs/high end organized crime outside of some edge cases (Theranos, Madoff) where it’s physically impossible to come up with an excuse.
That crime family running a “legal” opiate distribution cartel comes to mind.
Wealthy people in this country are only ever really punished if they screw over other wealthy people.
