Litman admitted there is “very little leeway to reject the government’s decisions to dismiss charges” but encouraged Sullivan to “accomplish what Congress, multiple inspectors general, and a majority of the electorate have not been able to do — hold the president and his allies accountable for their contemptuous disregard for the rule of law.”
There has never been any possibility that he would be held accountable. The entire process is placation politics. The populace absolutely needs to feel as if the rules are fair, and as if the powerful can be punished. So the systems have created stalling and diversionary tactics to placate their needs, and keep them eternally waiting for justice. Have you never noticed that he’s always on the verge of facing consequences if we just wait a little longer? Then longer comes and the charges are dropped, or the hearings are postponed, or he was convicted but sentencing is in three weeks, or it’s been three weeks but now there’s an election so we must wait until it’s concluded for impartiality, or well he won, so sentencing is permanently postponed? There will never be meaningful consequences for these people. They will always promise action is just a little down the road, all you need is patience. Meanwhile they continue the exact same egregious and evil activities while the masses wait, permanently crippled by the promise of soon to be consequences. People cannot act out because that would be crazy, since the system will make things right soon… any day now.
Readers are fleeing to new media after papers like the L.A. Times and the Washington Post literally wrote off half of the country.
They instigated their political opponents (and bystanders) to hate their guts and are now shocked to find people hate them. Now the Left is caught in a downward spiral of more and more deranged rhetoric that alienates those who haven’t drank the kool-aid and blaming them for it. The situation is a “five alarm fire” by their own design.
In other words, leopard, meet face.
