I had a friend from Peru in highschool. I pushed back when they criticized us for having bread alongside pasta. And it’s something I think about and regret to this day. I still do it but I think about them when I do

Honestly I’m baffled at how Italians tend to be so much more fit than Amerikkkans when their cuisine is carbs on carbs with some carbs on the side.

I agree with @[email protected] a LOT but with an asterisk[1]. When I escaped the anglosphere for a few weeks I ate with abandon whatever I wanted and spent on the order of $3 for a meal prepared by someone else. The food is higher quality and fresher too. They just give you a reasonable portion. I lost weight. I ate all the take out I wanted, chocolate when I could find it, and just went around having fun and I saved money while losing weight. Never felt hungry, never felt pain. I don’t mean to go full RFK Jr but it makes me wonder what the fuck we’re doing here - I think the food is making us sick.
