We had plenty of guns here in China due to the fact that we, uhh, invented gunpowder.
Between the Warlord era and liberation, guns weren’t exactly rare. And yet today I am looking through the news and I do not see any gun violence here. Not in my city of Wuhan, not in my province of Hubei, not in the entire PRC.
Perhaps you need to have a revolution first, but it’s not “stupid unless you never had guns in the first place”
