Yeah. Last time I was dragged to a casino I had similar thoughts. Gambling with a few good buds and some drinks (and a reasonable budget that doesn’t cause any financial concerns) could definitely be fun.

Gambling in a capitalist system means going to a place purpose made to fuck with your head and body’s biological cues to entice you to become addicted, minimize or erase the mental impact of losses, etc. A ruthless machine designed to ruin lives, really. And it’s so much worse because you need money for even the most basic of needs like healthcare, housing, food.
