Haven’t played this game yet. I will, but I’m trying to put space between the RPGs I play.
I played it last year, and I found the narrative charming and emotionally resonant. The setting is bland, ok, sure. But the interactions between the characters and the general vibe of the writing was of a very particular style that really worked for me, after I realized the game doesn’t take itself too seriously. Maybe it doesn’t grab everyone the same way. But you should try it!
If its on sale maybe I’ll try, if its not too long tho. RPGs basically have to have perfect writing and a very interesting and original plot/concept for me to enjoy them, otherwise I get bored pretty quick.
Gameplay looks cool and like it tries to avoid being grindy and repetitive which is rad.
But yea I guess my writing standard for rpgs is very high, that or it has to be very short.
